Data Privacy
1. General
Eichenauer Heizelemente GmbH & Co. KG, referred to hereinafter as Eichenauer for short, respects the privacy of every person who is in contact with us or who visits our website. We should like to inform you about which data we collect and how this data is used. You will also find out how to check the accuracy of the details and get Eichenauer to delete the data. The collection, processing and use of data is carried out in line with statutory data privacy provisions. This information on data privacy does not apply to websites on the internet which you may visit via hyperlinks which appear on Eichenauer websites.
2. Collection, use and processing of personal data
We only collect data for personalised processing and use if you voluntarily opt to enter the data or give your express consent. By doing so you accept the following conditions of use.
When you visit our website, certain data is automatically saved for the purpose for system administration and for statistical or back-up purposes. The details are as follows: the name of your internet service provider, possibly your IP address, the version of your browser software, the operating system of the computer used, the website from which you visit us, our websites visited by you and possibly the search terms you have used to find our website. This data may potentially allow conclusions to be drawn as to a certain visitor to the website. Personalised data is not utilised in this connection, however. The use of the above data is purely anonymous. If Eichenauer passes on data to external service providers, technical and organisational measures are taken to ensure that this is carried out in compliance with statutory provisions relating to data privacy.
If you provide us with personal data of your own accord, we will not use, process or share this data beyond the extent permitted by law or stipulated by you in the form of a declaration of consent. Furthermore, we only share your data if we are obliged to do so by law or by official or judicial directives. Changes to our “Information on Data Privacy” are published on this page, so you can find out at any time which data we save and how we collect and use it.
You are of course entitled at any time to withdraw a signed declaration of consent agreeing to the use and processing of personal data; the withdrawal then takes effect for the future. 3. Security
Eichenauer will keep your data carefully and take every precaution to protect it from loss, misuse and alteration. Eichenauer’s contractual partners who have access to your data to provide services on behalf of Eichenauer are contractually obliged to keep this information secret and are not permitted to use it for other purposes.
4. Personal data relating to children
Eichenauer does not collect personal data relating to individuals under 14 years of age. If necessary, Eichenauer will expressly indicate to children, at the appropriate opportunity, that they should not send personal information to Eichenauer.
5. Cookies
We use so-called cookies to facilitate use of our website. “Cookies" are small batches of information which are temporarily stored on your computer’s hard drive and which are required for the use of our website. The information contained in cookies serves to manage a session, in particular by improving navigation; they enable a high degree of website usability. The cookies used by us do not save information specific to an individual person. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies. You can avoid this by changing your browser settings, however. You can remove cookies saved on your computer at any time by deleting temporary internet files (browser bar: tools - internet options).
6. Your requests and queries/ Data Privacy Officer
Saved data is deleted by Eichenauer when the statutory or contractual retention period ends or if Eichenauer no longer requires the data. You can of course ask for your data to be deleted at any time. You are also entitled to withdraw any declaration of consent to the use or processing of your personal data at any time, of course, with effect for the future. In such cases, or if you have any other requests relating to your personal data, we would ask you to write an e-mail or letter to our Data Privacy Officer.
7. Public procedures directory
The Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) stipulates in § 4g that the coordinator for data privacy is required to make the following information according to § 4e available to everybody in the appropriate manner:

(5) Purpose of data collection, processing and use:
The purpose of the company is the manufacture and sale of heating elements. The company is authorised to acquire companies of all kinds in Germany and abroad or to purchase a stake in them and to pursue all business activities which serve the purpose of the company.
(6) Description of the group of persons affected and the related data or data categories:
Data relating to: customers, staff, pensioners, staff of associated companies, staff of external companies (contracted), leasing personnel, applicants, external inventors or heirs, suppliers and service providers, external customers, consumers, test persons, plant visitors, investors and financial analysts and shareholders – insofar as this is necessary to serve the purposes listed under 7 (4).
(7) Recipients or categories of recipients to whom the data can be shared with:
Public bodies, health insurance companies and professional associations where the relevant regulations apply, external contractors according to § 11 BDSG, external service providers, associated companies.
(8) Standard terms for data deletion:
The law stipulates a wide range of different retention obligations and terms. Data is routinely deleted on expiry of these terms. If the data is not affected by these regulations, it is deleted when the stated purposes no longer apply.
8. Use of Facebook plug-ins
Our network makes use of plug-ins belonging to the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). This particularly involves the Facebook “Like” button.
If you visit a page on our website that contains such a plug-in, your internet browser establishes a direct link with the Facebook servers. The content of the plug-in is relayed by Facebook directly to your browser, and it is integrated by the latter in the web page.
Integration of the plug-in means that Facebook receives the information that you have accessed the relevant page of our website. If you are logged into your Facebook user account while you visit our website, Facebook can attribute your visit to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plug-in, for example if you activate the “Like” button or post a comment, the relevant information is relayed by your browser directly to Facebook and it is saved there.
