Industrial Applications Heating Systems for Industrial Applications
Heating systems for industrial
Applications and Products
We develop and produce heating elements for industrial applications used in such areas as mechanical engineering, process engineering, the chemical industry, lab and medical technology and the food industry.
The heating elements for these applications are mainly produced on a customer-specific basis so only an overview of our supply range is provided here.

Application Fields and Products
The heating register is a recuperative heat exchanger used in building air conditioning. In ventilation and air conditioning systems it can be used for the purpose of air pre-heating (defroster protection) and for air re-heating, as well as in air streams and other applications.
Other Varieties
Enclosure Heaters
Our enclosure heaters are used for maintaining an even temperature in cabinets containing electrical or electronic installations. The heater prevents malfunction due to condensation or frost.
It is connected via the free cable ends or else using the optionally available connector block. Since the fan is connected separately, this can also be operated independently of the heating element for air circulation.
Our ESH enclosure heaters can also be used for other outdoor applications such as cash dispensers, ticket machines and traffic guidance systems.

Tubular heating elements are used in all areas of electric heat since they enable heating of liquids, gases and solids.
The range of applications is extremely varied – here is a small selection:
• Heating of tools
• Packaging machines
• Air, oil and water heating
• Ovens, catering
• Medical technology
• Special machinery
• Plant engineering and wind turbines
Tubular Heating elements
Tubular heating elements consist of a metallic tube sheath, an inner heating coil and compacted magnesium oxide as the electric insulation material.
The materials used for the sheath are aluminum, copper steel and stainless steel. Depending on tube diameter and material, the maximum length before bending is between 2,700 and 4,500 mm.
In addition to the straight Eichenauer standard models, customer-specific bend shapes and connector attachments are also possible.

Tubular Immersion Heaters
Tubular immersion heaters (TIH) are used for heating water in the industrial sector. The heating elements must be completely covered with water during operation. Tubular immersion heaters are intended for installation in stationary systems inside buildings.
Various types are available with plastic or aluminum caps; alternatively, customer-specific solutions are also possible.

Flange Heating Elements
Flange heating elements (FHE) are used for heating water in the industrial sector. The heating elements must be completely covered with water during operation. Flange heating elements are intended for installation in stationary systems inside buildings.
The flange heating elements are equipped with a safety temperature limiter in the terminal box as well as being fitted with tubular heating elements and cartridges.
The following applications provide a small extract from our supply range since we largely manufacture heating elements for industrial systems on a customer-specific basis.
The following therefore applies to all elements shown here: special dimensions, different outputs and voltages are possible on request.
Cartridge Heaters
Cartridge heaters are produced as a purely ceramic element with exposed coil or with metallic protective tubes.
The advantages of ceramic elements are good heat emission and the fact that they can be replaced in large oil tanks without emptying the container. Cartridge heaters with metal sheath are mainly used for heating chemically aggressive media and oil or in heat transfer oil systems.
The relatively thick walls and homogeneous material structure (welded type) guarantee a long service life and durability.

High-Performance Cartridge Heaters
The tubular sheath of high-performance cartridge heaters is made of stainless steel with a cartridge base welded so as to be gas-proof and impervious to fluids. The connectors are made of fibreglass-insulated pure nickel leads which in the standard models are routed from the inside.
The core and insulation are made of highly compacted magnesium oxide and the heat conductor is made of the heat-resistant alloy NiCr 80/20.
The structure of these heating elements allows use in a wide range of conditions including strong vibrations and high temperatures.
